Thanks to the Spirited Woman for including my novel in their list of twelve recommended summer reads.

It’s amazing that the book has been out for two years and still gaining popularity.  Of all the marketing ideas we authors have at our fingertips, there is nothing like word-of-mouth for selling books.  I’m forever grateful to those readers who have told a friend or relative about my book and/or who have taken the time to write a quick review on Amazon.   All your efforts are paying off.  Now, let’s hope that the screenplay being written later this summer will gain the same traction.

I finally got to meet fellow Kelso Books author, Margaret Davis, whose novel “Straight Down the Middle” was just released.  We shared promotion tips and planned some joint strategies to work together in the future.  Our slogan is “we write books women love to read!”

I’m in countdown mode now.  Only a few more days and my book will be on Amazon.  The kindle conversion is in the works, too.  Just read in the paper that book sales have improved over the last two months and the fall line-up of authors looks awesome; Richard Russo, Pat Conroy, Capt. Chesley Sullenberger.  I’ll be in great company!
