Just got word that my editor’s new novel, Pictures of You, has been chosen as the January book selection at all Costco stores. Check out her interview in the Costco Connection.  If my book wasn’t chosen, I’m happy that her’s was.

During my recent trip to Sydney, Australia, I had the pleasure of being interviewed for the Lit Chick Show, a virtual TV show hosted by Australian author, Sylvia Massara, and American author, Angela Atkinson.  It was an honor to be their first author interview.

I originally posted my profile on LinkedIn when I started my HR consulting practice years ago, mostly networking with past colleagues.  But when I began writing,  I expanded my contacts to include fellow authors and writing groups.  I signed up for daily alerts and the other day I saw a post under “New Authors Need Marketing Ideas” that intrigued me.  An author in Australia was announcing a new blog that will be hosted like a TV show, where you can see video commentary and written interviews from authors around the world.  The post ended with an invitation to be interviewed.  Since my husband and I will be traveling later this month to Sydney for our nephew’s wedding, I responded and a few emails later, I am scheduled for a face-to-face interview with novelist Sylvia Massara for her new Lit Chick Show to debut in October.

Networking takes time, but often the connections you make are well worth it.
