If you have ever wanted to write a book or be published and you live in the Northern California area, please join me and three other local authors for our presentation, “So You Want to Write a Book,” at the Moraga Library on January 7, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30.  On the first rainy night of the year, I was very concerned about how many people would come out for our presentation, “So You Want to Write a Book,” at the Clayton Library. I love Canadian author Margaret Atwood’s books, but I had no idea she was such a compelling and witty speaker! I am the Chairperson for this year’s “Meet the Agents/Publishers Event,” sponsored by the San Francisco Chapter of the Women’s National Book Association, to be held on Saturday, March 26th at Sinbad’s Restaurant in San Francisco. Just got word that my editor’s new novel, Pictures of You, has been chosen as the January book selection at all Costco stores. In my presentation on Saturday to the Mt. Diablo Branch of the California Writers Club, I had fifteen minutes to review thirteen years worth of work. Whew! The Mt. Diablo Branch of the California Writers Club has asked me to speak at their meeting today. Here’s a wonderful opportunity to win a free book either for yourself or someone on your gift list. Enjoyed a delicious lunch and listened to famed author, Joyce Maynard, talk about her writing process. The Authors Book Day on Saturday, June 19th, included a panel entitled, So You Want to Write a Novel. |
